Simple confectioners' icing is good to dip donuts or pour over cakes or cookies. Include the butter for a more plastic icing that is easier to dip, or omit it for one that sets up hard. Use the larger amount of milk for an icing that will be poured.
- 200 g (2 cups) confectioners' sugar
- 25 g (2 tbs) butter (optional)
- 30 g (2 tbs) - 50 g (3 tbs) milk
- 1 g (1/4 tsp) vanilla extract
- Stir together all ingredients. Beat until smooth.
- Correct thickness by adding more sugar or milk if needed.
