- Preheat oven to 350 °F.
- Combine the rolled oats, nuts, and seeds.
- Dissolve the honey or sugar and molasses, and the salt, in the water. Add the oil.
- Combine the sugar mixture with the oat mixture. Stir well to combine thoroughly.
- Spread mixture in a lightly greased baking pan. Place in oven and toast for 15 minutes.
- Stir the mixture well, being careful to mix the edges into the center. Reduce oven heat to 275 °F and continue toasting, stirring every 15 minutes, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until lightly browned.
- Cool. When cool, add the dried fruit. Store tightly covered.
