Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients

  • 4 tbs unsalted butter, cut into 4 pieces
  • 1 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Steps

  1. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth. Stir in salt and cool 10 minutes.
  2. Sift together cocoa and powdered sugar.
  3. Gradually add cocoa mixture to chocolate mixture, beating constantly at low speed.
  4. Gradually add milk, beating until completely incorporated.
  5. Beat at high speed until light and creamy, about 1 minute.
