This is a simple chocolate icing with an assertive flavour.
Ingredients
- 50 g (1/4 cup) milk
- 100 g (1 cups) sugar
- 50 g (4 tbs) butter
- 100 g (2 cups) confectioner's sugar
- 50 g (1/2 cup) cocoa powder
- 2.5 g (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract
Steps
- Combine milk and sugar in a pot and heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves.
- Add butter and allow to melt.
- Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.
- Correct thickness by adding more sugar or milk if needed.
Warm icing slightly over hot water to increase fluidity. Dip pastries into icing and let dry.
