Chocolate Icing

This is a simple chocolate icing with an assertive flavour.

Ingredients

  • 50 g (1/4 cup) milk
  • 100 g (1 cups) sugar
  • 50 g (4 tbs) butter
  • 100 g (2 cups) confectioner's sugar
  • 50 g (1/2 cup) cocoa powder
  • 2.5 g (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Combine milk and sugar in a pot and heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add butter and allow to melt.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.
  4. Correct thickness by adding more sugar or milk if needed.

Warm icing slightly over hot water to increase fluidity. Dip pastries into icing and let dry.
