Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbs butter, melted
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
Steps
- Combine flours, sugar, buttermilk, and sourdough starter. Mix until smooth.
- Let mixture ferment, covered, overnight.
- Beat in eggs, then the butter, salt, and baking soda. The batter will rise when the baking soda is added; don't overmix after this point.
- Bake in waffle iron.
