Tamarind Concentrate


  • 2 cups (2 parts) water
  • 8 oz (1 part) tamarind pulp


  1. Bring water to a boil, and pour over the tamarind pulp.
  2. Stir well, breaking up the pulp so it can absorb the water. Let rest to hydrate, about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain out the seeds and skins, pressing well to extract as much of the liquid component as possible.

Storage Instructions

Store one month in the refrigerator, or freeze.
